This week, we’re heading north to Newport, Rhode Island for a weekend of live music at Newport Folk Festival. As music fans, Squarespace is proud to be supporting NPR Music’s broadcast of the festival and look forward to meeting some of you there.
Newport Folk Festival began in 1959 as a counterpart to the Newport Jazz Festival and introduced artists such as Joan Baez and Bob Dylan to the world. Since the 90s, the festival has added a roster of performers from other related contemporary genres. NPR Music will provide a live video broadcast of dozens of sets from a headliner-packed three days, including The Avett Brothers, Beck, Feist, and the Lumineers.
We’ll also be collaborating on “New York to Newport”, a special concert with New York artists Matt Sucich and The Lone Bellow. Though the event is private, we’re offering Squarespace fans a chance to win two tickets to attend this VIP event.
